One of the reasons BASS are North America’s most popular gamefish is they’re somewhat easier to catch than other species, primarily because they are so abundant.
  • Salute to Service Nominees
    2/22/2016

  • Salute a veteran by nominating them to win an all-inclusive hunt of a lifetime with 180 Outdoors
    2/7/2016

There are few things an outdoor enthusiast values and appreciates more than being in the woods, on the water or in the field. The service and sacrifice of our military veterans is absolutely one of those few. We honor each and every veteran who took the great oath to protect our freedoms and defend our constitution. Giving back to these men and women seems almost impossible because whatever we could give them would seem inadequate…but Matt Wonser and Devin Windsor of 180 Outdoors in partnership with The Reporter Outdoors aim to give it a shot.

  • Hunting Private Land in Kansas is a Privilege
    12/7/2015
Property boundaries aren’t always clear-cut, but the rules for hunting private land are. Because Kansas is 97 percent privately owned, landowners still provide access for most of our hunting opportunities. Know and follow some of these key private land hunting rules to prevent an early end to your season, and more importantly, to ensure good relationships are maintained between hunters and landowners.
  • The Fall Kickoff
    8/30/2015
As one of the first hunting opportunities since spring turkey season, dove season is seen by many as the kickoff to fall. Dove hunting provides an ample yet challenging target in a casual atmosphere. While staying still and being quiet might increase your success rate to some degree, it is not considered a necessity as it is in many other hunting pursuits.
