Thursday evening

Wark Memorial Park transforms into a carnival midway in honor of Caney’s Mayfest celebration. The park was complete with rides, games, and vendors including Caney’s own gourmet snow cone specialist, Jungle Sno. Jungle Sno will be open the entire Mayfest event serving up fun new flavors and traditional treats. The carnival will be open through Saturday night. Tickets and wristbands are available.

Friday

Caney’s Mayfest celebration rocked into the night as Subway brought singer/songwriter Jaycee Lynne to Wark Park for a free concert.  Performing a variety of music from contemporary country, traditional country and gospel, Lynne wowed the crowd with hits from her ‘Next Exit Tour 2016’.  Mayfest will run through Saturday night.

Saturday

A collection of 4-wheeled, high performance art lined the downtown streets at this year’s Caney Mayfest Car Show. Sponsored by Arvest Bank, show cars of all makes, models, and condition lined up along Fourth Ave, stretching into the heart of town.  Race cars, drag cars and other competition vehicles were on display, along with vehicles in various stages of renovation. Mayfest is an annual festival in Caney. Billed as the city’s homecoming, the event begins the Thursday before each Memorial Day holiday and runs through Saturday.
