With both teams looking to close out the final week before winter break on a high note, the Field Kindley Lady Golden Tornado hosted cross-county rivals Independence on Tuesday, December 17. The Lady Bulldogs got off to a hot start and forced FKHS to play from behind throughout the game, with Indy coming away with the 47-36 victory.

The visitors jumped out to an early 16-10 advantage at the end of the first quarter, and were up by double digits less than a minute into the second stanza before heading into the locker room leading 29-20.

Coffeyville rallied to within three points midway through the third quarter, but six unanswered by the Lady ‘Dogs forced a ‘Nado timeout with 1:32 and IHS ahead 37-28. The home team added another bucket before the end of the quarter and went into the final eight minutes trailing 37-30.
