It's almost here! That time when aspiring photographers can show-off their talent at the 12th annual Independence Historical Museum and Arts Center. The show will be open to the public beginning Feb. 15 through Mar. 2. 

All participating photographers will need to submit their works to the museum by Saturday, Feb. 9 at 4 p.m. The categories for entries are: Animals, Landscapes, Portrait, Vehicles, Architecture, Professional and Miscellaneous. There will be two categories for students: Students ages 13 to 18 and Students ages 12 and under. 

Judging for the competition is set for Sunday, Feb. 10 at the museum. It will be closed to the public and photographers. Winners will be announced on the museum website Monday, Feb. 11. Prize awards will be given to the winners in each of the categories as well as Best of Show and People's Choice will be presented on the final day of the exhibit Mar. 2.

The photography exhibit will open to the public Saturday, Feb. 15. Hours for viewing the photography exhibit are: Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is: $5 for adults, $3 for ages 6-18. Exhibitors are free with a pass.
